Cutter plus matching press
First use the cutter to form the complete chick silhouette, including its feet and side details. Align the matching press over that shape and press gently to add the face, wing and feather pattern without changing the outside edge.

Alignment matters
The press is a separate tool rather than a fixed insert. Position it within the cut chick before applying pressure, and use a lighter second press so the internal lines do not overpower the outline.
