Turn a sketch, logo, photograph or rough idea into a made-to-order cookie cutter, with a clear quote and friendly design help from The Cookie Project.
A custom cookie cutter gives you an outline that is made for your particular bake rather than chosen from a standard catalogue. It could begin with a hand-drawn sketch, a simple silhouette, a company logo, a favourite object, a pet, a celebration theme or an idea that only exists in your head.
You do not need to prepare professional artwork. Send the clearest reference you have and explain what matters most. We review the outline, intended size and likely dough result, then suggest any simplification needed to make the shape recognisable, strong and straightforward to use.
The cutter creates the outside shape. If you also want lettering, facial features, a logo or surface pattern, we can discuss a matching cookie stamp, embosser or detail press as part of the same brief.
We talk through the idea before anything is made, so you understand the design, price and next step.

We look at the outline, small gaps, narrow areas and fine features. If part of the design will not translate cleanly into dough, we explain the issue and suggest a practical adjustment.
We confirm what is included, the proposed size, the price and an estimated timescale. A cutter and any matching detail tool are listed separately so the choice is easy to understand.
Where appropriate, we send a visual proof showing the planned outline. Check the overall shape, dimensions, orientation and any wording before giving us approval to make it.
After approval, the cutter is produced, checked against the agreed design and prepared for delivery. Care and product-specific information will be supplied with the finished order.
A perfect design file is not required. Clear information is more useful than polished presentation.
Photographs and detailed logos often need to be simplified into an outline. You must have permission to use any logo, character, artwork or other protected material you send to us.
Accepted contact-form references: JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF. If you have another professional file format, mention it in your message and we can arrange the best way to send it.

A few practical answers to help you prepare the brief.
No. A rough drawing, photograph or written description can be enough to begin. Clear, high-contrast artwork helps, but we will tell you if a cleaner outline is needed.
Not always. A cutter follows an outer edge, so shading and fine internal detail cannot be reproduced by the cutter alone. We may simplify the outline or recommend a matching stamp, embosser or detail press. You must also have the right to use supplied artwork.
It depends on the size and complexity of the design. We aim to keep straightforward custom work affordable and provide a quote before you commit. Exact prices will be confirmed for the individual brief.
Yes. Tell us whether you want recessed lines, raised detail, wording or a repeated surface design and we will recommend the most suitable companion tool.
Send the reference, preferred size and a few notes. We will review it and explain the practical next step.
