Custom Cookie Detail Presses for Matching Designs

Create a custom cookie detail press that fits a cutter and adds internal lines, features and pattern to a shaped cookie or fondant piece.

Rainbow-shaped detail press for a matching cookie cutter
MADE AROUND YOUR BRIEF

A matching press for the detail inside the outline

Our custom cookie detail press is the insert used after a cutter has made the outside shape. It can add eyes, wings, windows, petals, clothing lines, panels, lettering or other internal features that help a shaped cookie look recognisable before any icing is added.

This is different from the kitchen appliance also called a cookie press or cookie gun, which pushes soft dough through interchangeable discs. We use “detail press” to describe a made-to-order design tool that is pressed onto the surface of a cut cookie or fondant shape.

The best result usually comes from designing the cutter and press together. We can also review a press for an existing cutter if you provide accurate internal measurements, a tracing and clear straight-on photographs.

A SIMPLE, CLEAR PROCESS

How your custom order works

We talk through the idea before anything is made, so you understand the design, price and next step.

01

Start with the outline

Send the cutter design or accurate details of an existing cutter. We need to understand the usable area inside the cutting edge before placing any features.

02

Choose the essential details

Identify the lines that make the shape recognisable. We remove unnecessary complexity and keep enough spacing between features for a clearer impression.

03

Align cutter and press

The internal design is positioned relative to the outside shape, with practical clearance from the edge. Orientation and any asymmetry are checked carefully.

04

Review the matched proof

We show the planned outline and internal features together, then confirm price and estimated timescale. You approve both position and direction before manufacture.

05

Make the set

The press is produced to the approved dimensions, checked with the matching specification and sent alone or with the companion cutter, as agreed.

HELP US UNDERSTAND THE IDEA

Information needed for a matching press

Accurate alignment matters more than decorative complexity.

  • The cutter outline or a straight-on tracing of the inside edge.
  • Exact internal width and height in millimetres.
  • A simple drawing showing where each feature belongs.
  • A note about which lines are essential and which are optional.
  • The orientation and the effect you want in the surface.

Good to know

Measurements taken only from the outside of an existing cutter may not give enough information for a reliable fit. We will explain if a new matching cutter is the safer option.

Accepted contact-form references: JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF. If you have another professional file format, mention it in your message and we can arrange the best way to send it.

What a detail press can add

Faces and characters

Place eyes, mouths, clothing and defining features consistently inside people, animals and character shapes.

Objects and vehicles

Add windows, wheels, panels, handles and other visual cues within an outline cutter.

Nature and decoration

Introduce petals, leaf veins, feather lines, rainbow bands and other repeating internal structure.

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Custom Cookie Detail Presses FAQs

A few practical answers to help you prepare the brief.

Is this the same as a cookie gun?

No. A cookie gun extrudes soft dough through a shaped plate. Our detail press is a separate tool pressed onto a cut cookie or fondant shape to add internal features.

Do I need the matching cutter?

A detail press normally works best with the cutter it was designed around. We may be able to match an existing cutter if you provide sufficiently accurate internal dimensions and references.

Can a press include words as well as lines?

Yes, if there is enough space for the wording to remain legible. For designs centred mainly on a name, message or logo, a cookie stamp or embosser may be the better description and tool.

Will every small feature be included?

Only detail that can translate clearly at the chosen size should be included. We prioritise the features that make the shape recognisable and discuss any simplification with you.

Have an idea ready?

Send the reference, preferred size and a few notes. We will review it and explain the practical next step.
